Balboa Park is another excellent attraction to visit. It’s one of the largest urban cultural parks in the country, spanning over 1,200 acres. In addition to its countless museums and galleries, it’s also home to a large active naval fleet. The Maritime Museum of San Diego features nautical technology used to chart the sea, as well as a display of dinosaur fossils.
LEGOLAND is another fun place to spend a day. This park is a fantastic place to visit with kids. Located on the coast, the park features a dinosaur-themed roller coaster and a water park with aquatic life. Other attractions include a submarine, a lazy river, and more. When you are there, make sure to check out the aquarium, which features dolphins and a variety of marine species. Kids can also enjoy the interactive activities available there, as well as a tikitiko sensory wonderland.
Sesame Place is another good place to go with children. There are several shows and events taking place there, including Bert’s Topsy Tursy Tursy Tunnels, Sunny Day Carousel, and more. Visitors can also attend nature play storytime.
There are many LGBTQ communities in San Diego. Many of the most prominent are located in the Hillcrest area. For those looking for a welcoming and supportive environment, the city has a number of institutions and groups that cater to the gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender community.
The Gaslamp Quarter, in downtown San Diego, is a historic district that is filled with museums, monuments, and landmarks. There are also many bars and clubs in the neighborhood, and it’s a lively place to hang out.
